About Me

Hi, I’m Amanda.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and consider me for your postpartum needs. I am a Birth Arts International Certified Postpartum Doula in Pennsburg, PA. I obtained my certification in February 2024 and have been blessed to help many wonderful families since then. Before becoming a Doula, I was a stay at home mom for 10 years and homeschooled my three children. I was also a nanny for many years before and after having my own children.

I had three amazing, unmedicated births - one at home - breastfed all of my kids well past 12 months, baby wore, and always kept (and still keep!) my kids close to me. I believe in nurturing the special bond between a Mom and her baby, especially right after birth.

One of the reasons I chose this career is because I truly love caring for others. I believe moms are the most important person in the home. If moms are not taken care of the way that they should be, especially in the postpartum, then the whole family suffers. When moms are supported by a Postpartum Doula they are able to rest and heal from childbirth, eat nourishing meals that they don’t need to worry about preparing, and bond with baby without worrying about cleaning and the piles upon piles of laundry! I believe that when moms have this support, they will thrive in postpartum and motherhood.

I also chose this career because it allows me the flexibility to create my own schedule so that I can show up for all of my kids school activities and sporting events. Family is so important to me, which is why I love my work as a Doula, because when Mom is supported and Mom is doing well, it trickles down and the whole family is just better!

Each day of support is unique based on Mom’s needs that morning. I always start my days checking in with Mom and seeing how the night went and asking what is needed from me that day. It might be a day with a lot of meal prep to stock up for the week or it may be caring for baby so Mom can shower and nap, or Mom may just want to sit and chat for a little while to ask questions and get some advice. It is so nice having another mom there to bounce ideas off of, to know that you are not alone and what you’re experiencing is completely normal. That reassurance can make all the difference in the world.

In my spare time you can find me spending time with my kids, snuggling with any of my four cats, listening to music, cleaning (yes, I love to clean!), reading, going out for a walk, practicing yoga, and running my kids around to all of their sports - I love baseball season! ⚾️

I would be honored to support you and your family in the postpartum ❤️
