About Me
Hi, I’m Amanda.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and consider me for your postpartum needs. I am a Birth Arts International Certified Postpartum Doula in Pennsburg, PA. I have three amazing children, ages 13, 11, and 7, and two adorable cats. I am a Certified Elementary Teacher and homeschooled my children for eight years. I have also been a Nanny and Night Nanny for over five years, supporting multiple families during the day and overnight.
I have had three amazing, unmedicated births - one at home - breastfed all of my kids well past 12 months, baby wore, and always kept (and still keep!) my kids close to me. I believe in nurturing the special bond between Mom and her baby. I am currently enrolled in a Breastfeeding Educator course to better support my clients.
I am a born nurturer. Caring for others comes naturally to me and fills my heart. Supporting new parents as a Postpartum Doula is an incredible opportunity to care for others at such an important time in their lives.
Postpartum can be hard, especially when you have older children to care for. Too often in our society moms are expected to quickly bounce back after birth and take on the daily household tasks without allowing their bodies time to heal and themselves time to bond with baby. I know that I felt the pressure to “do it all” after giving birth instead of allowing myself time to rest.
As a Postpartum Doula, I will provide you with that much needed, and well deserved, rest and support. I hope to help as many moms as I can so they can tackle motherhood well rested, educated, nourished, and confident.
I would be honored to support you and your family in the postpartum ❤️
